The arms. Form a thin, flat rectangle. Roll it around the arm wire. Blend the clay at the shoulder joint so it is attached to the torso.
The arm may be a bit lumpy in spots. To help make it unifom and smooth, roll the arm gently between your fingers as shown.
Time for the legs. Again form the flat rectangle as you did with the arms. Attach to the wire and roll the clay between your fingers again. Goodness, aren't these little Faeries being kind to one another?!
To form hands first make a flat wedge shape as shown. Then roll sausage shapes.. Make long graceful ones, or short stumpy ones. And then attach the hand to the arm, making sure that you have a bit of the wire extending into the hand. It will add strength.
Now for the foot. see the wedge shape I have formed. Just add toes. How many toes does your Faery have?. Mine never have five.
Now gently, position the arms and legs. Is your faery sitting, standing?
Now for curing completely. Bake your Faery for the full amount of time as your directions state. You may cover the Sprite with quilt batting or tissue to prevent scorching. Allow it to cool completely before proceeding.
